Hooman Book is operated by Chau Apps Company Limited (tax code 0318597324), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Hooman Book app and website, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Account — a Firebase authentication ID and the display name you choose.
• Conversations — the messages you send to your companions and their replies, stored so your companions can remember context and get to know you.
• Understanding — a private model of your interests and preferences, derived from your conversations to personalize your companions.
• Usage & diagnostics — analytics and crash data (Firebase) and basic device info.

How we use it

• To run the service and generate companion replies.
• To personalize your companions and improve the product.
• To keep the service safe and enforce our Terms.

AI processing

Your messages are processed server-side by third-party AI providers (e.g. OpenAI) to generate companion replies. We do not sell your data, and we do not permit your conversations to be used to train third-party models for their own purposes.

Sub-processors

We rely on Google Firebase (auth, messaging, analytics), our hosting and database providers, and AI model providers to deliver the service. They process data on our behalf under their own terms.

Retention & deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing chaucao@chauapps.com. Deletion is permanent.

Children

Hooman Book is intended for users aged 16 and over.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent, subject to applicable law (including Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Law). Contact us to exercise these rights.
